Proud sponsors of the Delo Conference Investments in Construction 2026 again this year

Construction as an economic multiplier
The common thread running through this year's debate was clear: construction is not just an industry, it is an economic multiplier. The wave of investment in infrastructure and energy is having an impact on many related sectors (materials, logistics, finance, the labor market), so the key question for the coming years is how to strategically coordinate investment in terms of productivity, added value, and the long-term competitiveness of the region.
Key speakers and discussions
The conference was co-created by numerous prominent speakers from Slovenia and Croatia:
- Stojan Petrič (Chairman of the Kolektor Group and Director of Delo) highlighted the systemic importance of construction and the structural challenges facing the industry (productivity, human resources, exports) in his introduction.
- Alenka Bratušek (Minister of Infrastructure), Oleg Butković (Croatian Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure) and mayors Zoran Janković (Ljubljana) and Tomislav Tomašević (Zagreb) participated in a round table discussion on infrastructure challenges, moderated by Slavko Bobovnik.
- The discussion on coordinating investments until 2030 (also moderated by Slavko Bobovnik) was attended by Matej Oset (2TDK), Nevenka Kržan (Port of Koper), Kristjan Mugerli (Kolektor CPG), Ivica Budimir (Croatian Roads) and Marijan Ćužić (HŽ Infrastruktura) participated in the discussion on the coordination of investments until 2030 (also moderated by Slavko Bobovnik).

Equal rules of the game and real market capacities
One of the most notable points raised was the issue of equal competition rules in public procurement. The discussion featured a metaphor about "clean cyclists" versus "doped cyclists" as a warning that consistent compliance with the rules (labor legislation, standards, costs) and a realistic assessment of market capacity are crucial in cross-border competition to prevent the industry from overheating.
Why it is important for us to be part of such events
As a real estate agency closely involved in project development, investors, and buyers, we believe that high-quality professional discussion about investments in construction is also important for the broader real estate market, from housing affordability to infrastructure development, which directly shapes the quality of life.
That is why we are proud to have supported this year's conference, which raises key questions about future development and brings together the people who are actually shaping that development.
