Embassy of the Republic of Korea – reception on National Day at Ljubljana Castle
The celebration took place in a pleasant and festive atmosphere, enlivened by a cultural program and a wide selection of traditional Korean dishes. At the beginning of the ceremony, the choir sang the national anthems of the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Korea.
In his speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Be Il Jang, highlighted numerous opportunities for cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the bright future of partnership in areas such as technology, green energy, and artificial intelligence. He added that, as ambassador, he would remain "firmly committed to our partnership and strengthening friendship between our two nations."

A special moment of the evening belonged to Mr. Stojan Petrič, long-time Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea in Slovenia, who was honored with a special ceremony entitled "Special Ceremony in Recognition of Former Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea." On this occasion, he received a plaque in recognition of his many years of work and contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries.
In his speech, Mr. Petrič expressed his gratitude for the trust and support he had received and emphasized that, as his term of office came to an end, he was left with many fond memories that would always remain close to his heart.
The event was an excellent opportunity for representatives of the diplomatic, economic, and cultural communities, united by a desire to strengthen cooperation and joint development, to meet.
